Wednesday, November 01, 2006 Bush:I'm such an idiot that I am too stupid to recognize when John Kerry calls me an idiot On Monday, Bush proudly announced: "In other words, we just didn't talk about philosophy. There's too many philosophers in Washington." Wow. Talk about a ringing endorsement of stupidity, given that philosopher = lover of wisdom (philso=love + spohia=wisdom). And yet the Repukes wonder why we libs think we're far smarter than they are? Tuesday, Bush and his minions (and oh yes... I mean Bush's number 1 fluffer boy John McCain... who must make a killing in tax write-offs by declaring lube and knee pads as a career expense) clearly waved their NEON STUPID FLAGS by taking John Kerry's statements completely out of context and trying to twist them into some kind of slam against the troops. Non-wingnut Lou Dobbs inexplicably took BushCo's interpretation. But at least Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, and yes even Joe Scarborough refused to take Kerry's comments out of context, and provided the Kerry remarks in full so that you could clearly see that Kerry was referring to Bush's stupidity, NOT the troops in any way, shape, or form. WHY? B/c there was absolutely NO reference by Kerry to the troops in the sentences preceding or following the remark about the stupidity... only Bush was mentioned (via the AP): Kerry had opened his speech at Pasadena City College w/ several one-liners, joking at one pt that Bush had lived in TX but now "lives in a state of denial." Then he said: "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." Of course Tony SnowJob spewed some vomit up about this merely showing a clear pattern of anti-troop statements from Kerry. Hmm... oddly enough, I do not recall ever hearing Kerry making anti-troop statements, but I would love to know if SnowJob would also make up such bullshit lies about Ann Coulter who said this about our troops in Intervention Mag on 11/06/03: "Soldiers are just cowards with their backs against the wall. The lowest IQ men in our society, those incapable of normal careers enlist. Their choice in life; prison or the military. Some will have to die in the support of our cause." Of course not. SnowJob would probably just make up some excuse that the adhesive that was holding Ann's dick taped to her leg was making her cranky. But at least we got to see some fight in Kerry that should have been there in '04: He came out swinging and called these foaming at the mouth crazies the frickin crazies that they are, but I only wish Kerry had said this: "I may have fucked up a joke, but at least I did not fuck up Iraq. You, Mr President, have that distinct honor." |
