HurricaneExpert: Global Warming isn't real

Holy Mother on a moped... who has this guy been listening to ?(via CNN) Our "genius scientific" prez, or this twit Ian Murray from the Exxon-backed CEI, or maybe the NCPA- aka Exxon's well paid conjoined twin? CNN: Renowned hurricane forecaster Dr William Gray, from the Natl Hurricane Cntr is disputing everything Al Gore's movie puts forth and says: "I think this threat of human-induced global warming is largely manufactured. I don't think it's real. CNN: That puts Dr Gray at odd odds not only w/ Al Gore, but with over 2000 of the world's leading climate scientists. They say b/c humans are burning things like oil & coal, it is contributing to global warming. So why aren't there more skeptics? GRAY: Scientists, especially younger ones, are afraid to voice skepticism. There has been, I might say, a mild McArthyism running against skeptics like me. I believe I lost some govt money and funds over the yrs because I have been a skeptic on this topic. CNN: Not so says one of those younger scientists who said she is shocked by Gray's global warming claims. BRENDA EKWURZEL, UNION OF CONCERNED SCIENTISTS: If we wait til every last person understands the data as most of the scientists do, then it may be too late. Just last month a scientific panel set up by the Bush admin concluded there is no more debate, the Earth's climate is burning up and there's only 1 explanation, human burning of oil & coal. CNN: Gray insists in 10 yrs, people will conclude that the threat of global warming was overblown. Scientists who disagree w/ him say that he can't be further from the truth and that time can't be wasted to address the problems of global warming." Call me crazy, but how in the hell can we afford to be wrong on this issue and side w/ this nutjob guy?
