Tuesday, June 06, 2006 Field Commanders: War is Lost Military commanders in the field in Iraq admit in private reports to the Pentagon the war "is lost" and that the US military is unable to stem the mounting violence killing 1,000 Iraqi civilians a month. So we are staying there WHY exactly? Oh yeah... so we can sit back and watch 50 people get kidnapped in BROAD DAYLIGHT from a bus station in Baghdad by gunman wearing Iraqi police uniforms, or watch a bus full of Iraqi students get pulled off the road and executed, or have US forces fire artillery at guerillas who are unloading a weapons cache at the train station in Ramadi. So, not only do we not control Ramadi, we don't even have the fucking train station secured there from the guerillas. |
