Monday, May 15, 2006 New NSA Database Poll: 51% Disapprove So, it looks like that the previous poll that stated 63% of Americans approved of the NSA phone data collection was misleading, eh? USAToday: "A survey of 809 adults taken Fri and Sat shows a nation wrestling w/ the balance between fighting terrorism and protecting civil liberties. 51% of Americans disapprove of a massive Pentagon database containing the records of billions of phone calls made by ordinary citizens, and 62% said they support immediate congressional hearings to investigate the data collecting. Hmm, seems to me that once people are asked the question in a non-partisan way and have had a few days to mull it over, they aren't so quick to bend over and let BushCo rape their rights, no? And in case you were wondering about that bald Baby Huey bastard Bush is pushing to be our new CIA boss, check out the new TIME article. |
