DOD sending mentally unstable troops to war

LATimes: US military troops w/severe psychological problems have been sent to Iraq or kept in combat, even when superiors have been aware of signs of mental illness. The Hartford Courant cited records obtained under the Freedom of Info Act and more than 100 interviews of families and military personnel, reported numerous cases in which the military failed to follow its own regulations in screening, treating and evacuating mentally unfit troops from Iraq." Can you honestly imagine anything more irresponsible than putting soldiers who are suffering from stress and who are on antidepressants into a battlefield situation? No wonder the suicide rates of our troops has skyrocketed and why enraged soldiers are wiping out Iraqis w/ disregard and unconcern.
