Tony Snowjob Attacks New Orgs

Editor & Pub: In his first wk in the job, new WH Press Sec Tony Snow is already having issues w/ CBS News, and slamming The NYT and USA Today. Snow aims to counter criticism of the admin in an aggressive manner. He has yet to hold his first press briefing, however, but he did fire off angry emails to various news orgs. Snow attacked CBS News for Jim Axelrod’s piece on seniors having problems w/the Bush drug plan. Axelrod responded: "Very simply, the WH is cutting and pasting to make a pt, something they accuse their critics of doing constantly. The WH is clearly manipulating what I broadcast to fit their agenda. And they are wrong to do that." The WH manipulate info to suit their agenda? Say it ain't so. Now please report to the Ministry of Propaganda to receive your punishment, Commrade Axelrod.
