Bush asked for warrantless spying in Feb 2001

Bloomberg: The Natl Security Agency asked AT&T to help it set up a domestic call monitoring site 7 months before the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, lawyers claimed June 23 in court papers filed in NY federal court." Hmm... guess Bush and his "we want less govt in our lives but we love when the govt illegally spies on Americans" crowd are gonna have a hard time saying that the NSA desperately needed to warrantlessly spy on our domestic calls 7 full months before 9/11 even happened, huh? And speaking of BushCo actions that are completely unjustifiable... this ex-CIA and State Dept official says that the "outrage" at the NYT's SWIFT banking story is laughably fabricated given that: "If you still labor under the fantasy that the NYTs, the LA Times, and the Wall St Jrnl divulged "classified info" that put US lives at risk or hampered our ability to track terrorist financial assets, then you are willfully ignorant or have been living in a sensory isolation tank."... or ya just have to be an indoctrinated Repuke.
