FAA Knew Back in '98 Planes Could be Hijacked

Oh sure... we are SO MUCH safer in 2005 w/Il Duce Bush in power... especially when warnings like this were blatantly ignored (via NY Times): "American aviation officials were warned as early as '98 that Al Qaeda could "seek to hijack a commercial jet and slam it into a US landmark," according to previously secret portions of a report prepared last year by the 9/11 commission. The officials also realized months before the Sept 11 attacks that 2 of the 3 airports used in the hijackings had suffered repeated security lapses." I'm sure Clinton will somehow get blamed for this, too. But however will Bush explain away this testimony by Condi?: "No one could have imagined them taking a plane, slamming it into the Pentagon" -- I'm paraphrasing now -- "into the World Trade Center, using planes as a missile." My mistake... there is no explaining necessary when you refuse to take any responsibilty.
