Scrambling to repackage the Iraq War as it descends into even further hellhole

Aaah yes... HERE are even more examples of stunning BushCo "progress" in Iraq: 1) The most influential moderate Shia leader in Iraq, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, has abandoned attempts to restrain his followers, admitting that there is nothing he can do to prevent the country sliding into civil war. Sistani is angry and disappointed that Shias are ignoring his calls for calm and are switching their allegiance in the 1000s to more militant groups (especially those with ties to Iran such as the Badr brigade) which promise protection from Sunni violence and revenge for attacks. 100s of 1000s of people have turned away from Sistani to the far more aggressive al-Sadr... and it is Sadr who is most eager to kill Americans, and the south is the territory where almost all of our supplies travel on their way up from the Shiia stronghold of Basra, and Kuwait. This bodes very ill for the future of our forces and the future of Iraqis, but do we really think BushCo gives a damn? 2) To stay alive, Iraqis are forced to change their names that sound less Shiite/ less Sunni, get fake IDs, and ditch their license plates that may identify them as living in a city or area that is predominately Shiia or Sunni (since cars are carjacked/ shot up according to their plates). 3) Rules posted on the wall of the Marine base in Barwana concisely summed up the US predicament in Iraq, as the rules say this: "Be polite, be professional, have a plan to kill everyone you meet." What? No flowers, chocloates and air kisses being tossed at us? Shocking. Somebody better clue in Rummy and our dear Despot Dubya. Err... wait... as Olbermann so succinctly points out again (this time his target is Bush himself) saying any of these cold, hard facts would continue to make us Nazi appeasers to the delusional Repukes. Combine these news bits w/ the eagerly awaited Natl Intelligence Estimate (and it is expected to be very, very ugly in terms of how unbelievably bad things really are) that Negroponte is preparing on Iraq, and we can see why Bushco has to scramble to repackage this war to keep selling it to those who are stupid enough to buy their brand of lies and guzzle the GOP Kool-Aid.
