Might Fitz call Cheney to Testify?

Oooh... this might be good news (via CNN): "VP Cheney could be called to testify in the perjury case against his former chief of staff, a special prosecutor Fitzgerald said in a court filing Weds. Fitz suggested Cheney would be a logical govt witness b/c he could authenticate notes he jotted on a July 6/03, NYTs opinion piece by Joe Wilson. Fitz said Cheney's "state of mind" is "directly relevant" to whether Scooter Libby lied to the FBI & the grand jury about outing Valerie Plame." Then again... it could be a sign of bad news to come b/c if Fitz is calling Cheney to testify, it could mean he's given up on indicting Cheney. And WTF good will it do if Cheney testifies anyway? That immoral son of a bitch will probably refuse to even show up on the claims that "this is natl security. It is classified. So there!", OR the pompous ass will just take the 5th and we'll learn nothing, OR the dumb bastard will see this as just another perfect opportunity to take a public nap.
