Mary Cheney: Lesbian Sell Out

ABCNews: Mary Cheney says that she considered quitting as Bush/ Cheney's campaign adviser over the issue of gay marriage, especially when Bush said the nation must defend the sanctity of marriage. When Bush proclaimed it in the State of the Union, she refused to go b/c she was finally taking her stand." Taking a stand? You actively campaigned and tried to convince other gays/ lesbians to vote for a prez, a party and an admin that has done everything under the sun to make your sexual orientation perceived as illegal and immoral. Boy Mary, you really showed Bush, huh? He was probably happy he didn't have to hear any shit from his wingnuts that your "immoral" muff diving ass was there in the 1st place. I'm a hetero married woman. Gay rights will never be my own personal issue, but I fight for gay rights b/c they are HUMAN RIGHTS. Mary, I'm tired of fighting your battles for you when you're unwilling to fight 'em yourself. And to make matters worst, you're a gay female who is willing to sell her soul to a party that wants to take away gay rights AND women's rights. So here's my question for Mary: How can any persecuted minority be a member of and help a party that persecutes and destroys women and homosexuals?
