Gov Arnold Marked as Already Voted

Despite the fact that the CA special election handed Arnie's ass to him, and ended up being a colossal waste of $60mill (or even up to $300mill), you can't make news like this up: Sweet Jesus... when you're trying to rig the votes, ya have to remember to cover your tracks, mmm 'kay? LA Times: "Elections officials said a LA County poll worker had entered Schwarzenegger's name into an electronic voting touch screen station in Pasadena on Oct 25. The worker was testing the voting machine in preparation for early voting that began the next day. Somehow, Arnie's name was then placed on a list of people who had already voted." So, what special priviledge did Arnie get?: "The poll worker told the gov's staff he would have to use a "provisional" ballot that allows elections workers to verify if 2 votes were made by the same person. The poll worker did the correct thing. The gov, however, was allowed to use a regular ballot." Well, aren't you just a lucky, lucky boy Arnie? The money quote?: "This is someone who breached our protocol and was playing around in advance of the election." Yeh, that is sooo reassuring, and please go tell that to all of us in OH who watched the '04 Election get stolen before our very eyes due to those very glitches.
