Bush, You Are a Day Late & A Dollar Short

As New Orleans descends into ANARCHY, Bush said looters should be treated with "zero tolerance". So, people stealing food, water, and diapers should be treated w/zero tolerance? No, people stealing drugs from the looted Rite Aid or the guy stealing guns from the looted pawn shop should be treated w/zero tolerance, but at this point, how do we know if some people aren't taking up arms simply b/c they are in fear for their own lives b/c your negligence has allowed this chaos to happen? In an ABC television interview, Bush said this: " What we need to do as a nation is come together to solve the problem and not play politics, and there will be ample time for politics." Really Bush? Then where the fuck were you this week? Oh that's right... you had to present McCain w/a cake to reward McCain for all of his GOP fellating, go meet with smiling elderly people at your carefully handpicked Medicaid Program events, whore out & belittle WWII by comparing it to the war in Iraq b/c your poll numbers are lower than whale shit on the ocean floor, and you JUST had to get in ONE MORE golf game didn't ya? So Mr President... WHO exactly has been playing politics this week during this massive destructive event of Biblical proportions? Guess what asshole, you are a day late and a dollar short for stepping up to the plate-- and now you want everyone to fawn all over you (not dare to criticize you) b/c you've finally gotten close to realizing that you actually should do something as President in times of need. Bush, your negligence in cutting funding to LA, putting a stop to any research on the LA coastland by the Army Corps of Engineers, and having our Nat'l Guard fight in a foreign land when their job (by very definition) is to guard our nation are just more examples of how criminally negligent you are. Perhaps you should try harder to figure out that it is your job to do more than to just get close to realizing how serious this horrifying situation is. As my dad always says, close only counts in a game of horseshoes and hand grenades.
