Compare/Contrast Clinton & Bush in Hurricanes

Clinton Foundation: Here's what Clinton did BEFORE the hurricane even made landfall when Hurricane Floyd hit NC: 1) Clinton cut his overseas trip short one day to fly in from New Zealand in preparation for Hurricane Floyd (He was attending an APEC Summit). 2) 115 Dept of Def personnel were engaged in pre-landfall response operations with liaison teams at state emergency operations centers in FL, GA, SC and NC. 3) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) provided prime power teams and technical assistance to ensure FEMA generators were operational. 4) Pre-scripted contracts for ice and water were activated and numerous USACE planning teams were deployed to Federal and state emergency operations centers. 5) Approx 3,439 Army and Air Nat'l Guard troops were activated under state control for State Active Duty. They assisted in providing traffic control for the largest peacetime evacuations many of these states have ever seen. They provided security, transportation, and aviation assets, medical support, and emergency power and communications in each of their states. 6)The Dir of Military Support (DOMS) established a 24-hr Crisis Response Center at the Pentagon in support of FEMA as the Lead Federal Agency. DOMS established contact with all potential DoD response organizations, coordinating requests for DOD assistance. All of this was done BEFORE it hit land and it all went very well. Read what Clinton did afterwards (and it was not golf, pimp SS med program, or wait 3 days). Katrina already hit FL the week before as a tropical storm. We all knew it was spinning back to strength as a hurricane. WTF was Bush doing? If he could call an emergency session of Congress and fly in from Crawford on Easter weekend for Schiavo, WHY didn't he stop his bike rides, golf games, naps & agenda pimping for this event, which is AS if not more destructive and crippling than 9/11? I guess Bush Only likes pre-emptive war... not pre-emptively planning for disasters, & we still wait for a leader.
