Tuesday, August 02, 2005 Noe's Wife Stopped Vote Count in 04' Nov Election Rawstory: Bernadette Noe (wife of Bush’s chief OH fundraiser, Tom Noe—who is currently embroiled in campaign finance and money laundering probes in OH's Coingate Scandal)—surprised poll workers and observers alike by disrupting the ballot count during the 2004 general election. Mrs. Noe, who served dual roles as chairman for the Lucas County GOP and the Lucas County Board of Elections, sent 12 “partisans” into a warehouse on Election Day, according a memo authored by OH’s Director of Campaign Finance Richard Weghorst who was present at the time. Weghorst, who was present at the warehouse where ballots were being tabulated, says that 12 volunteers arrived, whose "purpose for being there was not immediately known nor requested" and when the volunteers refused to leave the premises, Weghorst called the police, who then escorted the group away from the warehouse. It later emerged they had come at Mrs. Noe's request. Ever doubt that Coingate was tied to the OH stolen election of 04? Doubt no more: "A Diebold employee, Robert Diekmann, was also present at the warehouse that night." This info all comes from an investigation prepared for OH Sec of State Kenneth Blackwell (he is a GOPer, too) regarding reports of irregularities in Lucas County (read the memo in PDF here). The report found gross failures on the part of Mrs. Noe’s board in preparation for and administration of Nov’s '04 election. Well, it seems that our great Congressman John Conyers smells something rotten in OH, and he is now demanding an investigation from the Justice Dept, and journalist Matt Taibbi (who did not believe that there was any monkey business in the OH election) attended a conference put on by Conyers and Sherrod Brown. Guess what Taibbi NOW believes? That the OH election was stolen and it was even worse than the theft in FL in 2000. He is writing about it in the New York Press & calls it Highly Irregular. |
