Grieving Mom Cindy Sheehan & Sen Allen (R-VA)

Grieving mom Cindy Sheehan (mother of KIA soldier Casey Sheehan) is in Crawford TX to protest the war in Iraq and to demand accountability from Bush on this war while he vacations yet again. See pix of Cindy and her fellow protestors here, including Cindy's meeting w/ Stephen Hadley, Assistant to the Prez for Nat'l Security Affairs & Joseph Hagin, Deputy Chief of Staff since Bush refuses to meet w/Cindy and all anti-war parents who have lost their children to the war. It is beyond shameful that Bush is treating Cindy like this, and at least 1 GOP Senator agrees that Bush should meet w/her (transcript from CNN's Late Edition w/ Wolf Blitzer): "I think the president ought to meet w/ this mother. Maybe not go out to the protest lines, but have her come in and have a heart-to-heart conversation w/ someone who's also made the ultimate sacrifice in losing her son in this war on terror. I'm not sure if she'll be convinced, but I think just as a matter of courtesy and decency and also appreciation for her hurt, and I think for many other families' as well." Yeah, well this GOP Senator assumes that Bush has a conscience and soul, but looking into Bush's reptilian eyes is a spooky reminder of the evil that exists in this world.
