Friday, July 28, 2006 Afghani Karzai wants religious police back Yet another example of BushCo's amazing "democracy" on the march.. in Afghanistan: Under the Taliban, the Dept for the Prevention of Vice and Promotion of Virtue struck fear into women's hearts, beating those who let a glimpse of wrist or ankle peek out from beneath their burqas, or who dared to freely speak or act. To please conservative hard-liners, Pres Hamid Karzai wants to bring those "religious police" back.
