Tuesday, May 02, 2006 Impeachment petitions: Hastert ran away AfterDowningSt: "Fulfilling their obligations as citizens to protect the Constitution, Ellen Tenney and Julia DeWalt (pictured here) presented the first 3 VT town resolutions calling for Congress to impeach the President to the Speaker of the House. Except the Speaker was afraid to meet them. Hastert was afraid to face the naked truth that Congress will now have to be dealing w/ the wrath and determination of forthright American citizens who are calling their govt to accountability." Well, we must make our leaders accountable, but we the people are accountable, too. If America were allowed to see images such as these, would most of us even bother to turn off American Idol and care? |
