Monday, May 01, 2006 Truth hurts?Just end WH press briefings 1st BushCo got rid of McClellan because they think they have a communication problem. But maybe now they realize Tony Snowjob can't magically fix their multitude of problems, so the Fox News Sunday solution? Maybe we shouldn't allow the daily WH press briefings to be televised (via Crooks & Liars): "Wallace: Some people suggest that a way to improve relations with the press, would be to end the televising of the press briefings and all the posturing by members of the WH press corps. Josh Bolten: It's worth considering. I think that will be Tony Snow's 1st test to see what kind of power player he really is. The judgement would be as we do in all things is look at the long run and see whether it's helpful in the long run." Oh I see. It isn't a communication problem. It isn't a host of policy problems. It is a posturing problem on the part of the press. That must've been why Ari Fleischer decided to come of his secret cave and write about that evil posturing via his op/ed in the WaPost. |
