RepMurtha: I Wouldn't Join Today's Military

Get ready for The Wrinkled Prune Jean Schmidt's witch-meter to go off the scale now: A decorated Vietnam combat vet who retired as a colonel after 37 yrs in the US Marines & the top Dem on the House of Reps subcommittee that oversees defense spending and 1 of his party's leading spokesmen on military issues, Rep John Murtha told ABC News' "Nightline" that Iraq "absolutely" was a wrong war for Bush to launch, and when asked in an interview taped on Friday: "Would you join (the military) today? Murtha replied; "No." "And I think you're saying the average guy out there who's considering recruitment is justified in saying 'I don't want to serve'," the interviewer continued. "Exactly right," said Murtha. Prepare for The Wrinkled Prune & Scotty the Lying Dough Boy McClellan to spin their heads a la The Exorcist over this and demand to know why a veteran like Murtha hates 'Murka so much during this time of war on 'Terrah.
