John Cusack:Dems Better Get a Set of Brass Ones

I always liked him(esp in Bob Roberts, Bullets Over Broadway, Being John Malkovich & Grosse Point Blank), but after reading his dead-on balls correct post at Huffington, I can officially say that I love John Cusack. I have always had a thing for him (it's the dark hair and brown eyes... it gets me every time) but as you can tell in this Guardian UK article from July 2000, (highlighted by his family's creedo of "be responsible: your actions have ramifications on other people" & his father's longtime friendship w/2 Jesuit pacificists from the days of Vietnam) Cusack's disgust w/ GOP greed and "everybody for himself/ I got mine and fuck you if you can't get your's" values goes all the way back to the days of Reagan: In Grosse Pt Blank, Cusack plays the morally-numbed professional killer, Martin Blank, who undergoes a spiritual crisis when he returns to his childhood town to kill someone. It's extremely funny and, as he says, serious. "I grew up fascinated by people in the Reagan administration, their ethics, their mercenary values. People who plan wars and then go home to their wives and their kids. How do they live? I thought 1 way of looking at this was to play around with the killer genre. (Hence the Martin Blank character in Grosse Pt Blank and notice this film takes place BEFORE Dubya got a chance to fuck everything up? & for Cusack's insightful opinion on the NRA click here) Some people got it. For some it worked just as entertainment." Aahhh... isn't he just dreamy? Those brown eyes, that dark hair, the Irish wit, all of that Catholic guilt, AND he's a Dem, too? I want to bear his children...
