Reid & Kerry Truly Pay Tribute to Vets-- NOT Bush

RAWStory has Reid's response to Bush's Vets Day spew: "On this Veterans Day, the Pres had the opportunity to honor our troops... by laying out a clear strategy for success in the war in Iraq. Instead, the Pres resorted to his old playbook of discredited rhetoric about the war on terror and political attacks as his own political fortunes and credibility diminish." Give 'em hell Harry, ya stormin Mormon. And John Kerry called Bush on his VD spew, too: "I wish Pres Bush knew better than to dishonor America’s vets by playing the politics of fear and smear on Vets Day. Instead of trying to salvage his slumping political fortunes, the Comdr in Chief should honor our men and women in uniform w/ a clear strategy for success in Iraq. But this Admin abandoned that path long ago, and our troops have paid the price for it. This admin misled a nation into war by cherry-picking intelligence and stretching the truth beyond recognition. That’s why Libby has been indicted. That’s why a statement in the State of the Union Address was retracted. It’s a dangerous day for our natl security when an admin’s word is no good." Ouch... where were these bitchslaps when we needed 'em last yr?
