HUD Sec Jackson tied to Hookergate?

So, Jackson's spokesman claims that Jackson fabricated a long and detailed exchange w/a business CEO (who criticized Bush) and that Jackson made up the admission of cancelling a govt contract w/ that business because the CEO was critical of Bush. Really? Well, it sounds like unethical CYA (cover your ass) to me and others think so, too. It appears that some Dems grew a spine: Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) called on Bush to ask for the immediate resignation of Jackson, and Reps Henry Waxman (D-CA) and Barney Frank (D-MA) wrote to Jackson: “If this account is accurate, your comments were improper and most likely illegal. And then we have this from Rep Louise Slaughter: Weds afternoon I sent a letter to Secretary Jackson, calling on him to immediately release all records and documents pertaining to a $519,823 contract awarded to Shirlington Limousine, the company which is the middle of the Duke Cunningham bribery/ prostitution scandal. Wow. Who put steroids in the Dems' Wheaties?
