Video/Transcripts Prove Bush & Chertoff were warned fully before Katrina hit

Yahoo News says that the Assoc Press has a videotape of Bush being briefed fully on the dire situation that was barreling towards the Gulf Coast as Hurricane Katrina was growing in strength in the ocean: In dramatic and sometimes agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned Bush and his homeland security chief before Hurricane Katrina struck that the storm could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans' Superdome and overwhelm rescuers, according to confidential video footage. The footage, along w/ 7 days of transcripts of briefings obtained by The AP show in excruciating detail that while fedrl officials anticipated the tragedy that unfolded in NOLA and elsewhere along the Gulf Coast, they were fatally slow to realize they had not mustered enough resources to deal w/ the unprecedented disaster. Bush's response: Bush didn't ask a single question during the final briefing before Katrina struck on Aug. 29, but he assured soon-to-be-battered state officials: "We are fully prepared." Yeh, fully prepared to sit back, enjoying the vacation and strumming a guitar while the Gulf Coast drown, cried and died.
