Tuesday, October 11, 2005 Miers & Bush's Personal Correspondence... Barf NY Times: More than 2000 pgs of official correspondence and personal notes made public by the TX State Library and Archives Commission in response to open-records requests show things like this... read on empty stomach... heaving may result: "You are the best governor ever - deserving of great respect," Miers wrote to Bush days after his 51st birthday in July 97. She also found him "cool," said he and his wife, Laura, were "the greatest!" she told him: "Keep up the great work. TX is blessed." and said "Hopefully Jenna and Barbara recognize that their parents are 'cool' - as do the rest of us." Cool? Cold hearted- absolutely. Cool? Never. But the topper for me is this one, as Miers recalled a little girl who collected Bush's autograph and said, "I was struck by the tremendous impact you have on the children whose lives you touch." Yes, like a ravenous vampire denied the chance to feed, Bush has sucked the lifeblood out of children in TX, all of America, and Iraq. |
