Saturday, September 10, 2005 Rabbi Blames Godless/Insurance Denying Claims 1) IsraelInsider: Chief Sephardic Rabbi Ovadia Yosef said that Bush, along with New Orleans residents, are to blame for Hurricane Katrina: the former because of his support for the Disengagement plan in Gaza and the latter because of their lack of Torah study. Yosef said the victims have suffered "because they have no God". "It was God's retribution. God does not short-change anyone," said Rabbi Yosef during his weekly sermon on Tues. Well Rabbi, by that rationale, then I guess a whole lotta Godless Jews were incinerated in the Holocaust b/c God does not short change anyone, huh? Wingnuts... not just for Christians anymore. 2) AOL News: Insurers are potentially facing billions of dollars in losses from Hurricane Katrina claims, and battle lines have begun forming as carriers argue they aren't responsible for the flooding that occurred after the hurricane arrived, and conveniently, it is excluded from standard homeowners policies. Wow. I guess the flooding would've happened instead b/c some drunken French Quarter party got out of hand and they forgot to turn the tap off, huh? |
