National Priorities Org-- Check It Out

This site just blew me away. PLEASE check out National Priorities Org and go to the listing for "Local Cost of Iraq War" to see how much it is costing you as an individual, your state, and your nearest city. The cost of the Iraq War to the entire state of Ohio= $7.5 billion. The cost of the war for the city of Akron=$110.7 million. The cost of the war to US citizens per household= $1938. The cost of the war to US citizens per person= $727. Imagine all the schools, school districts and student needs we could acommodate w/that money? Imagine all the healthcare we could provide to underinsured/zero insured? Imagine all the homeland security needs we could take of by being able to finally pay our police, firefighters, sheriffs, first responders, border patrol and military bases. Think about it in this way: We as taxpayers are already paying nearly $2000 per household for this war... doesn't paying nearly $2000 per year/ per household for schools, homeland security and universal healthcare make more sense and improve our American lives... rather than sponser and foster the death and destruction of another nation and our own military? Oh that's right... WE MUST MAKE THE TAX CUTS PERMANENT- especially when we wage an unnecessary war- b/c those exploited wealthy people are just so damned abused!
