Baptist Church in NC Excommunicates Dems

A full scale war has been launched against Dems. Any of you who didn't take the radical right's promise to "eradicate liberals" seriously, I present to you, Exhibit A: East Waynesville Baptist Church in NC has just kicked out all its Democratic members. If you didn't vote for Bush, you had to "repent your sin", and finally, after deciding that anyone who supported a Democratic candidate had to (by mere association) support abortion and gay rights, the church decided that all church members who are Dems or voted for Dems had to be excommunicated so their church could be free from "liberal sinners". I am not fucking kidding you. Watch the video here (courtesy of Spiffarino at DU and WLOS tv in NC). Dems should feel as safe selecting and going to a church as Repubs do. The sad fact is, they don't. By taking this kind of action, that place of "worship" is proving that they are not a church but are acting as an arm of a political party. Their tax exempt status should be taken away NOW.
