Record Profits for Oil Companies For fuck's sake... this is outrageously obscene: "Oil companies are releasing their profits for the third quarter, and July, Aug and Sept have been record breaking months. Exxon, the world's largest publicly traded oil producer, announced profits of $9.2 billion, up 75%. Shell had profits of $9 billion, that's up 68%. And Conoco-Phillips saw profits of $3.8 billion, up 89%. Amerada Hess is reporting $235 million, that's up 53%. Murphy Oil claims a 95% increase, up by $231 million. |
