Our Founding Fathers were Deists, not Christians

Something has always bothered me about this talk of America= a Christian nation. Correction, America is compromised of a population that primarily are Christians, but our Founding Fathers were not- repeat- not Christian. They were Deists, and as such, were products of their time- The Enlightenment - so please, open a history book or read the Constitution (article 6 clause 3 especially) and stop spouting off that mistaken crap that they were evangelicals or would even remotely approve of the evangelicals highjacking of our electoral process for their own agenda.
